THE POWER OF LOVE
THE POWER OF LOVE
By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one another.( John13:35)
Today, I will dwell on the power of love. understand the depth, the weight, and the strength of this divine force.
LOVE. Love is the greatest force in the universe. It is the heartbeat of God, the foundation of creation, the essence of redemption, and the calling of every believer. The scripture does not define God as fire, though He is consuming; nor as power, though He is Almighty. The scripture defines God as love - “God is love” (1 John 4:8). To understand love is to understand God. To walk in love is to walk in every nature of God. To live a life of love is to manifest heaven on earth.
Sadly, our world is full of everything opposite: hate, betrayal, bitterness, hurt, division, and self-centeredness. Yet, in the midst of this darkness, God calls us to shine the brightest, through love. Jesus did not say the world will know us by our miracles, our gifts, our preaching, or our power. He said the world will know us by our love. Love is not a suggestion; it is a commandment. It is not optional, it is foundational. It is not merely an emotion, it is a decision, a commitment, a lifestyle, a sacrifice, a discipline, and a spiritual weapon.
Love is the full expression of God. John 3:16, says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” The verse reveals that love gives. Love is generous, sacrificial, and selfless. God gave His best to people who were at their worst. That is love. Everything God does springs from love. Creation was an act of love. Redemption was an act of love. The Cross was the highest display of love. The Resurrection was the victory of love. The Holy Spirit was given because of love. Salvation is the free gift of love. Eternity with God is the final expression of love.
Love is powerful.
Love makes you look like Jesus. The highest goal of Christianity is not power, fame, or influence, it is Christlikeness. To look like Jesus is to love like Jesus. Child of God, every spiritual virtue gains meaning from love. Every gift gains strength through love. Without love, spirituality becomes noise (1 Corinthians 13:1-13). Jesus loved the undeserving. He loved the unfaithful. He loved the rejected. He loved sinners. He loved the broken. He loved His enemies. He loved those who betrayed Him. He loved to the end (John 13:1).
When love becomes your lifestyle, you carry the fragrance of God.
The highest expression of Christianity is love. Every time you walk in love, you walk in victory.
Prayer: Thank You for loving me with an everlasting and unconditional love. Fill
my heart with the fullness of Your love ❤️
